New Nets for STHWCC

We are very pleased to announce that we have secured planning permission from Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council for our new double lane cricket nets.

The new nets will be built on the land to the left of the clubhouse (looking from the road), across the ditch. As you may have seen, work has already taken place to remove the dense shrubbery from this area. The fully enclosed two-lane net will be for the use of all club members and will look something like the picture.

To pay for the nets, extensive work has already been undertaken to raise funds and secure grants. We hope to share some good news on progress very soon! In the meantime, although you're welcome to drop by to see it for yourself, we'll look to update the website regularly as progress is made https://stratfieldturgiscc.secure-club.com/gallery/galleryid_17991/Clubimprovements.aspx

If all goes to plan, next season we'll have state of the art practice nets available for use by all Junior and Senior players.
